BLOCKBUSTER is how I describe 'SUN CHILD, Prince of Egypt' in its myriad of splendor!

Released from their spiritual enclave are her MUSES and they have spoken. While reading the book I could hear the sounds of nature and the sounds of ages past, SUN CHILD opened my ears.

René offers an interpretation of Ancient Egypt that beckons our very essence and we become part and parcel of the unfolding of events that the MUSES reveal. As I stepped into the picture postcard world of King Tut, the boy Prince that was destined to become King of Egypt and his court, I became engulfed in extraordinary visions of what could be and what had been.

The essence of any great artist is that within the masterpiece we find that the work stays with us and that is surely the case in hand. I am an avid reader and only in SUN CHILD could I visualize with certainty the scenery, sunrises, and even the air of Ancient Egypt as well as the smells of perfume and even the sweat of those that labored for Ancient Egypt.

Now, that is a writer that can convey an image, a sure sign of a great artist, and in my opinion René is a great artist of our time.

Every chapter reveals a complex way of life that works on many levels and offers a defining message to young and old. There is a very passionate and complex evolving story that is worthy of a motion picture and I am certain that King Tut himself would be riveted to his throne reading the book.
